Kinmont is lucidly - and unfortunately - totally bearish Thomas. He says, "The government has no money. Japanese government accounts essentially are a check-kiting scheme. All things which are politically possible are irrelevant to the problem. (p. 42, Barrons, Nov. 17,1997)

Personally, I haven't listened to the bears on Japan for perhaps ten years. But what you see here in Asia now is totually massive deflation now. Alot of currencies flying off to money heaven on their little wings. What you hear is the flutter of banker's hearts pumping the blood faster.
