Thanks for your great post, I really learned quite a bit from it. It seems that there are a couple of guests from Malaysia here (BT is another one). Do the Malayians celebrate Christmas and make presents? If so, how were the shopping malls this year? (I guess I know the answer...) Merry Christmas, and a very properous new Year. Hi Stich! I can't find the commentary on-line either. But it is there (in my lap as I type) on page 16 of the money and business section of the December 21, 1997, New York Times--the "Viewpoint" column. The biograpical note says the authors have written a book: _Global Bargain Hunting: An INvestor's Guide (Simon and Schuster, 1997). I may need to buy that book. Check Amazon.com for it.
