Thomas; and ALL ; here is the best Japan link I'v found.
satellite.nikkei.co.jp
--------------------
here is a link to WEBS Japan, on the Amex
quote.yahoo.com
this is a depository recept..that follows the Japan index
closly and lets you buy it at a fration of the cost.
I think it is better than the Japan closed end funds as
they are selling at premiums, instead of discounts.
I also think it's about at it's bottom..it could go lower
but it will come back.
--------------------------------
I also like KEF and KF for Korea..bought KEF last week but
with hind sight, wish I had picked KF, looks more liquid to
me. Korea wont bounce back to any new highs soon, but with
the IMF injection she will sure come off her lows, and make
good progress..at least stock wise..but best to stay with a fund
unless you really know who is who over there.
Korea don't have an Amex Web to buy.
------------------------------------
Lets don't forget Australia..it figures in on the ASIAN front
more than most people realize, and her stocks, and currency have
taken some big hits this year also. EWA is the Amex WEB..but I
think I like FAX ( a closed end bond fund better, and it looks
to have hit it's bottom, but I'm not sure about EWA, of course
both could go lower, but as Korea and Janpan come back so will
Australia.
