There was an article a ways back, I think several years ago, on the topic, in I think the Financial Times. The Russian Far East is not looking good for Russia. Similarly with Mongolia. All China has to do is move 20 million people from China into the Russian Far East and Russia will face a fait accompli. China can do it. Russia cannot counter it, short of war.
