Anyone have any opinion on ensco. I am long 600 shares, 500 that are on margin. Bought again yesterday at 30.75 figuring on a bottom. What a mistake that turned out to be. Value Line loves this stock short and long term.

Any ideas appreciated. I would hate to sell as this is probably a great time to buy more.

"The greater the pain the greater the gain" is something that I've learned from a few years of investing in the highly volatile tech sector (if you pick the right companies like Cisco when it got beaten up in a big panic attack). Right now there is a lot negative emotion and fear reflected in the stock prices of this entire sector. One year from now, we will most likely look back at the prices we are seeing now and think what an amazing buying opportunity this was. Then we will ask ourselves why we didn't buy more at the time. The answer will be that it is really hard to throw good money after "bad" money. However, if your take a step back and ask yourself what other sectors of the stock market have the potential to boom next year, there aren't many than I can point to other than some parts of technology. No doubt that it will be a wild ride over the next year, but if we all focus on the horizon and not the waves, we will still be around when the big money fows back into this sector.

Thanks for all of the informative posts.
