Yu Xun,

Many of the technical/networking/storage magazines are starting to write about FC now. I think that more mainstream PC magazines will pick up on FC when a lot more people start using it and the larger companies start releasing products. I think that a lot of the FC industry will change a great deal within the next five months when many larger companies start doing this (first look for NT-FC products in the next several months, bc I think you will see some), so you may have to wait a little. :-) Also, I think the magazines you mention are largely PC based...and not Network/Storage based. Please correct me if I am off.

And Happy Holidays to everyone!

What makes you think PC Computing and PC Magazines are mainstream magazines and that they have not written about FC? In fact they are writing about Fibre Channel! PC Week and Info World this week cite FC as an emerging technology for 1998 along with Gigabit Ethernet with the latter expected to pose a threat to ATM. So, yes, FC is getting publicized more and more.

Yu Xun,
As I posted a couple of days ago, BYTE magazine has selected Fibre Channel as one of its top 25 Hot Technologies for 1998. I agree with your point- mainstream exposure is critical.
