I think you're right. This NC technology is simple enough, and will likely take hold in some form, obviously a target for Java development. But software developers have a huge investment in existing code, and will not be leaving it overnight. I just can't justify expending the time to work with Java and the NC right now, because I can't show the benefit to my end users. As a result, we're sticking with c++ for a while. Mistake? Who knows. But after do this for 20+ years, I'm just really cautious about not being a pioneer. It just doesn't pay (ask Microsoft).
