Tom C: Re: Tonto and Silver Bullets

Actually, Tonto has joined the Y2K speaker circuit. At last report, he was scheduling a trip to New York's SPG conference. I believe that's in March sometime.

He spends most of his time debunking the "Silver Bullet" claims. It seems he is adamant that there are no silver bullets in the Y2K area. And, even if there were such a thing, it would be a copyright violation. He and his riding buddy have it all locked up.

I'm a bit concerned, though, about the people he hangs around with. Anybody wearing a mask is likely to be a crook, in my opinion.

Speaking of crooks (subtle seque, eh?) ...

Ted Turner has promised to be on his best behavior tonight at the party. He said he'd leave his crayons at home, so need to worry about your classic films being colorized against your will.

Phew! Smells like somebody's in the Clubhouse kitchen baking up those artichoke pizzas. Sure glad we'll have some of Norm's root beer Kool-aid mix to wash them down with. I wonder what she adds to the Kool-aid to make it so spicy?

I still can't figure out why we need 3 live chickens. Some kind of a new game?

The Lone Ranger and Tonto go into a bar to have a beer. It is a really hot day. A cowboy comes in and asks, "Who owns the big white horse outside?" The Lone Ranger says, "That is my horse, why?" The cowboy says, "Well, you better take a look at it, I think it is about dead." The Lone Ranger and Tonto go out and sure enough, the horse is dying of thirst and heat exhaustion. They give the horse a little water and the LR says, "Tonto, would you mind running around my horse in order to stir up a breeze while I finish my beer?" Tonto says, "No Kemo Sabe, I will be glad to." The LR is finishing his beer when another cowboy comes in and asks, "Who owns the big white horse outside?" The LR says, "That is my horse, what is the problem now?" The cowboy says, "You left your injun running."
