It would actually be "nice" if this were complicated and nuanced- and forced people to admit that everything is much more complicated than at present they admit it is- but, that solutions are possible. Of course that probably won't happen, but it would be nice if it did.

The suspect was born and raised in the US. His parents were Pakistani. Pakistan is sort of a creepy country, but I don't think it's known for terrorist exports. Shooting up your work holiday party has to be the stupidest terrorist attack ever, if that's what it is. But I'm sure all angles will be investigated.
