If he had heart problems all the infighting of our city politics probably caused his heart attack. In Juneau, the liberals and conservatives are split right down the middle and fight about everything. Another thing that's interesting about our local politics, is that huge amounts of money come in, I am guessing from the oil companies, during our statewide elections. During state elections, for every Democratic sign, you will see 10 or 20 Republican signs. It is like the pubs have unlimited money. And every conservative business, which are many, or property where a sign can be posted, will have huge expensive political signs plastered all over the property. Major intersections, etc. So you can really see the effect that big money has on statewide elections, at the local level, if you come to our town during statewide elections.
