Use trailing earnings for a direct P/E comparison:
Cymer...20.8 x
Intel.......17.5 x

Intel has 20% earnings growth, a genuine monopoly, and a very long track record of stability.

Cymer, say, 40% earnings growth, market leadership but no monopoly, and no long term track record of earnings stability.

Both are great companies. Both are off their highs. But I just don't see that Cymer is improperly valued in comparison with Intel.
