Congratulations. I ahve been there and it can be very stressful.

Its even better news that they settled with you before Christmas. . . must seem like a huge load lifted from your shoulders.

Merry Christmas and happy new year,

DGMAC

Wonderful Joe!

Some years ago, I was notified of an IRS audit. At the appointed time, I arrived at their offices, fear cloaked by my smile and courtesy, and presented them with a rather large stack of documents that pertained to various deductions for a number of tax years. Although I had played by the rules regarding record keeping, reporting, and deducting, I knew at my core that I was still a small pebble in the path of a giant rock that rolls inexorably without mercy and perhaps even with some grim perversion powering it.

Two weeks passed, another appointment was made, and it was then that the IRS representative advised me to hire an accountant, and informed me that I was due a refund with interest for each of the tax years in question.

I asked him if this happened often, and he replied: "Hardly. This is just one of those strange things..."

Happy Holidays all,
Charliss
