Hi Dwight - Yes Asia is comming full circle. I believe the U.S. is in the "cat-bird seat" as our dollar is extremly strong and getting stronger. Did you notice that our dollar is even strong against the Canadian dollar. The U.S. economy is in the best shape in decades...an all time high (in the history of the index) for the Utility Index (UTIL) today...TYX (30 year bond) now aproaching five year lows!

There are many investors and lot's of money that will be invested in ASIA if the political controls are relaxed. Many of our conglomerates will invest big time in ASIA picking up assest for $0.50 on the dollar but the (Asian) politicians will not let these sour banks and financial institutions fail.

I say let them fail and let many of our U.S. dollar cash rich companies pick up the pieces on the cheap. Isn't that the free enterprise system??

Even Novell could buy cheap Korean real estate (now at a 50% discount to our dollar) with that $1 Billion U.S. cash reserve.

Yes, overall demand for goods and services will decline in Asia but those cash rich companies are in the "cat-bird" seat and SHOULD now begin to pick up very cheap assets.
