I say:

Again, I'm continually amazed by the utter neglect of these
stocks in these forums (LGTO, VRTS)... other stocks get far
more traffic.

I don't see Veritas as a good aquistion candidate by a system
software vendor, because one of the core strengths of the
company is their ability to license the product to vendors
of multiple operating systems (i.e. HP and Sun and Microsoft,
for instance).

Now, for a software conglomerate, like Computer Associates,
or for a division of a large system vendor that focuses on
multi-platform integration (IBM), this is a possibility.
