STEVE S>>>>>Compaq had a stock buy-back program in force this year and it was cancelled with
the Tandem announcement.

Has the stock buy-back program been restarted? I have not heard of it<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<
I was advised by Nationsbank Inv. Rel. that they were required to suspend their stock buy back when they made the 100% stock offer for Barnnet Bank which won't close til Jan.or Feb. 98. They then must wait 6 months before they are permitted to reinstate a buyback. I don't know if this applies only to banks but I doubt it. When did the Tandem deal close and was it 100% stock?
