I think the word Rat was looking for is bigot. In any event, there are two sides and two extremes to the issue. We love our sports heros who've taken on Muslim names, and who serve as role models for youth. We know there are nice Muslim people in most urban neighborhoods. I know Muslims, and I know there are ISIS sympathizers in every community as well, lots of them. Lets start by being honest about all that. Why would Sunni Muslims not be interested in seeing their interests recovered and expanded in Iraq? Many are interested in seeing this success and young men who have little opportunity for a fruitful life are especially vulnerable to the radical influence. And It is upsetting to them to see people they had once admired bombed to bits in different parts of the world. Anwar Al Awaki was an Imam in several Mosques in the US for about twenty years and was loved by those who listened to him. I knew him when he was a 19 year old college student and he was charismatic then. Whether those Muslims who are sympathetic are radicalized or not we can't know, until there is an incident. It's not a simple problem but our principle is, "send us your tired, your hungry, and your poor"... not "your hostile." There is nothing wrong with using a filter, and I recommend an increase in tracking and intelligence with some action plans to back that up.
