Jim, Can you or anyone help me get the issues advanced and declined and the close on the dow for 11/26 and 11/28 ? I would appreciate any help. I have gone to the NYSE site but can't find the Adv/Decl data there. nyse.com They don't seem to have a search capability so I can search for those dates. Thanks for any help. HOLD IT A MINUTE THERE, SANTA James, The three statements in your last sentence are a bit jarring to me. "With year end tax selling almost over, and 4th Qtr Earnings release coming up fast, it is unlikely that we will revisit the 5.00 area..." 1) Are there really many people selling RECY for a tax LOSS? I tend to doubt it, if that's what you meant; and 2/3): 4th Quarter earnings a) aren't coming up particularly fast, from what I hear, and b) implied in your statement, as I take it, is a positive assumption about what that report will say. The recent unsteadiness of the stock, in my book, TENDS to lead to the opposite conclusion. Bad place to put it, but: HAPPY HOLIDAYS, Jim Strauss.
