The United Nations stated Mr. Trump was putting a “terribly important” Syrian refugee program at risk.

What's wrong with Turkey? They have to transit Turkey, many have already been living in Turkey, and they are in no danger in Turkey.

They are also in no danger in Latakia or Tartus on the Med coast.

What's so terribly important about it? Seems like a solution looking for a problem.

The UN being against it confirms how correct his position is. There is no bigger endorsement for it...

Trump has made a perfectly acceptable proposal to resettle the refugees in a safe area close their homes. No need to move them so far from their preferred homeland or burden them with our awful welfare system.
