Here is a map of racism by country. Notice the Muslim nations.

Pkrbkr,
Japan is probably the most racist country in the free world. Maybe the transplants aren't but I find that hard to believe. How can you make that statement?
I've been to Japan. They are racist, no doubt, but probably no more so than any other country in Asia. They are also very cordial and hospitable to visitors.

As for Japanese-Americans, they are like any other Asian-Americans. The first generation, i.e. the ones "fresh off the boat," are most likely to carry their cultural attitudes with them from their country of origin. And even then, like I said, the racism that they carried over from Japan isn't as bad as you make it sound.

But the following generations, i.e. those that were born here or came here with their parents at a very young age, assimilate very well into American culture and tend to have a multicultural view of the world.

Contrast this with other minorities, who have been living here for generations yet still hold sharp bitterness toward white people. Heck, even white people themselves seem to be more bitter toward their own race than Japanese-Americans are toward said white people. (A lot of that bitterness is fostered by the left, which I find very distasteful, but the right isn't helping matters at all.)
