Clinton took over in 1992 coming out of a recession. Of course his numbers look good. Beware thinking Hillary would be Bill even under the same circumstances.

You'll note crime (any way it's measured) peaked in 91 False Murder rate in 1980 - 10.2 Murder rate in 1991 - 9.8 Total crime rate in 1980 - 5950.0 Total crime rate in 1991 - 5897.8 Shows the Clinton era was the best in the countries history.....whether in crime reduction or any economic metric you choose It doesn't show anything at all about other metrics for any time, or crime metrics before 1960. It does show higher crime under Clinton then post Clinton, and also higher under Clinton then in most of the 60s. In terms of "best in history". It shows crime declined with Clinton was president faster then any other equivalently long period since 1960, nothing more. (It also says nothing about causes.)
