FOR THE RECORD:

I just called the telephone number for the Veterans issues by Donald Trump.

I spoke with Adam:

My comments:

1. Veterans who served during non-war time should receive pensions.
Presently they do not.

I believe they should receive pensions as their service is based on
preparing for war. .

My brother served during "non-war time" according to the law
passed by Congress. He served with honors but with no pension.

From Aberdeen, via Georgia he and others men ultimately went to White Sands where he applied his technical knowledge about missiles and planes. He was very, very bright in the technology field of that
time. (I have fantastic pictures of him and the men he served with then.)

He then served in the reserves until the late 1960's----with no pension.

2. It is too late for my brother; however, after having witnessed what he went through in Arkansas
I am convinced any veteran who served during non-war time should be included in receiving
a pension.

That law should be rescinded by Congress.

3. Another subject I touched on was the response from the Veterans in Arkansas, denying respite care for myself as a family caregiver after I went to Arkansas on an emergency basis. I have a 1 and 1/2 inch notebook from the Veterans reviewing his records------and ultimately denying help due to my brother's property being 'too remote' via their definition.

That could be redesigned to allow family caregiver or caregivers to have some time away ------I don't want to go into further detail.

I talked rapidly and Adam was polite and noted in closing that Mr. Trump thanks him for his service.

=======================================================================

My brother is now in a nursing home in Arkansas as like Reagan, he is reaching the final stages of
Alzhiemer's Disease. Yes, he has served in many ways.
