THE THREADS ARE SCHIZOID

I am hearing two divergeant opinions:
1. we are going inot a hellhole sellsellsellsellsellsellsell
2. in january we will snap back buybuybuybuybuybuybuybuy

i disagree with both of these are wrong--my opinion is:
1. there is deflation and oil follows deflation in commodities
2. there is a slowdown in asia--slight drop in demand
3. there has been a lot of profit taking and the sector has bee dinged
4. rigs are still operating at almost full capacity

my strategy is:
1. i didn't sell in novermer, yes i wish i had taken 25% off the table
2. january will not snap back
3. the turn will happen in about 6-9 months and there will be a big rally

why?
...japan, korea, and ASEAN countries will need 6-9 months to start chugging again. mexico took one year and all of them have learned from their model. what could screw this up? japanese and korean politics are scary, but so far, from everything i have read they are SLOWLY doing the right thing--deregulation, easy money, lower taxes, cleanup bad banks.

my tactic? slowly over the next 6 months continue to nibble at the big boy oil services waiting for a rally by next spring summer fall

this is a great sector but was taken down by asia and will rise again with asia!!!!

Actually, for GUT WRENCHING EXPERIENCES, I don't find the action in the drillers superior in any way to the scare of those good old Disc Drive stocks [QNTM, WDC, SEG, APM]. The fundamentals, however, now that's a different story.....
