Old Testiment which is no longer considered valid civil law according to modern Christian teachings.

That is what I was taught. Yet many American Christians, especially Evangelicals, cite the Old Testament when they talk about Christian Sharia/Biblical Law.

I wasn't quoting the bible, I was reporting what someone who was there heard when Cruz was there... So it's just another case of picking the passages from the bible that you like..... science can't do that.
Cruz was also introduced onstage by Pastor Kevin Swanson, who, earlier in the conference, quoted a passage of the Bible that he claimed justified the execution of homosexuals.
