Hi Ole 49r,

Thank you for your detailed response.

I guess one key definition needed is what you mean by short, intermediate and long term. Assuming Short (1 - 3 Months), Medium (6 - 9) and Long (beyond that) what makes you Intermediate term bearish ? The EMU ?

Also what do you think of the idea that that Gold could have an explosive change of sentiment. To me Gold is in many ways another currency, and having seen the massive revaluations undergone by some of the SEA currencies it seems plausible that the same could happen for Gold. Right now the mighty Dollar is percieved as the safest place to be (or to use an old fashioned phrase - As Good As Gold <g>- but given the Shaky Stockmarket, its massive debt and its role as lender of last resort to all the basket cases out there, it seems definitely feasible that that perception could change in a heartbeat.

My worry is I'd miss it. What do you think ?

Thanks and Best Wishes for the season,

Michael
