Lee : That is a great article in the URL you provided. When all
is connected together, I for one will be using a computer( hopefully
a Dell) to do some of that, while the kids are using a set-top-box to
watch the flintstones.
If planning a routine trip( to work), could punch an icon,
get weather and traffic problems immmediately. See if paper or mail
have arrived without having to walk out to highway, see if kids have arrived safely at school or dance lesson(big brother?? they may hate that).
Run a complete checkout on car from living room, start and warm it up. (It aleady has a built-in computer for malfunction
analysis).
Thats just some mudane stuff, so I guess they will need the
new chip plant whose opening has been delayed. Even Jabil may survive
(GGG). And which computer manufacturer has made the greatest use
of the web?????

Lee,
Hi!!! Thanks so much for the article....it is 19 pages!!!!! Totally fascinating...and I loved it....history is amazing....predicting it is even more stunning when we can imagine things...this is a wonderful perspective everyone should read....How many of us have chips in their car keys??? Now, who would have believed that a few years ago??..........If my car is started without my key (or my wife's)...a 911 number is called within 30 seconds!!! The tracking system (Onstar) notifies the police and they are directed to where it is since the car is tracked by satellite...knows exactly where the car is within 100 yards at all times....it also begins to record the voices of those in the car for possible prosecution purposes.....voice identification!....Now, this is minor league stuff compaired to what this wonderful article you posted is talking about....Thanks again.
Best, Kemble
