Metacomet...the dementia is gaining on me. I was thinking of Justice Warren when I made my original comments. He was the guy that was a bit too to the left for me. Burger sounds better than what I heard about him from what you've written. I heard he wasn't too bright. I actually think the death penalty is pretty good. I think it should be used more often and certainly more efficiently. The problem in death penalty cases is that the defendants usually don't get competent representation during trial but they get VERY competent representation on appeal. That's why many HEINOUS murderers outlive many of the family members of the people that they killed.
