You keep talking about these little server admin problems like they were important in the market, and somehow offset MSFTs monopoly code moves at the application level.

It appears that MSFT had/has done things that would keep Netscape from working the same way as IE with the Major applications that everybody needs to integrate with: Microsoft Word, Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft development tools, Microsoft Installation programs, Microsoft web documentation.

This is very very serious and anticompetitive if true. This goes far beyond Microsoft putting their own browser icon on the desktop, because they would be trying to make their competitors products unable to perform ordinary functions. This is not enabling integration, this is deliberately disabling integration.

We need to keep checking into this to see how many instances there are of it. I think everybody who has such an experience should write it up here!
