I have been reading Chief. The Technical Committee is the whole, the Sub-Committee is the specific focus within that area. Every position is voluntary and you get access to them for $75. They even give suggestions for how to recruit if there aren't enough members wanting to be on the committees/sub-committees. Sorry, don't see this as the great honour the NR seems to be suggesting. Nor do I see it meaning that they've passed all the testing standards as you are suggesting. Perhaps they have passed, but this isn't convincing evidence. The only conclusion one can derive from this NR seems to be that someone in the company was willing to fork over $75.
