Hi Nancy, I read your post and see your heart goes out to all people. It is natural to be compassionate and not want any to perish. That is God's heart also, He desires that no one perish. I have known a few people that thought sincerely that everyone would go to heaven. But that is not possible with the Gentiles or Israel. He has told us many will be decieved and not make it in. Romans 9:27-28 "And Isaiah cries out concerning Israel, "THOUGH THE NUMBER OF THE SONS OF ISRAEL BE AS THE SAND OF THE SEA, IT IS THE REMNANT THAT WILL BE SAVED. FOR THE LORD WILL EXECUTE HIS WORD UPON THE EARTH, THOROUGHLY AND QUICKLY." You wrote: << That is to human not anything resembling the God I know and serve. No there is a plan a mystery in Romans 11 for all Israel to be saved. The Jews that have believed in the God of Abraham inwardly will have a chance to accept Him in a way that is a mystery to us but He is faithful and no one will ever convince me otherwise.>> They have the same opportunity to accept Jesus and His salvation as everyone else until the end. There will be no other "mystery" to bring them into the Kingdom. Remember, Jesus came to the House of Israel. He is their Messiah. They either accept or reject Him as God has established already. (Jesus called the Samaritan woman a dog.) Jesus is Jewish and His message of salvation was/is to His countryman. His salvation was to Israel FIRST!! Here is what Jesus Himself said on the subject. John 14:6. He was speaking directly to his fellow Israelites. " I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through me." Until a person dies they can recieve the Lord or until the time of the end. There is no mystery after that to bring in any who rejected Jesus to that point. I hope this is not too controversial to you and I don't want to upset you. But we must have a love of the Truth and endure sound doctrine if we are to make it to the end without being deceived ourselves. Have a good Christmas, Bob
