I havent I was just explaining to Kugler who was insinuating that all wires allow for instant availability of funds. Well within the Fed system that is true but it is a domestic system. Many countries have requirements that wires go through certain channels and in general are received or sent through one of the money center banks in New York. Thus if Tonto said the money was in a New York bank yesterday it is likely that it would not show up in RMIL's account until today.

Now on the other hand someone said they thought the money was a check and would take a few days to clear that is hogwash. These deals are never done by check (especially from a foreign source).
