Unfortunately, that is a different thing. Instead of having meetings where everyone agrees to do something we need to have meetings, with all positions well represented, and hash out whether there is a real problem. Require the NOAA and NASA guys to defend their claims against the people who argue it is nonsense, with first-rate statisticians having no dog in the hunt to sort out the differences of opinion. Spend a couple billion on those kinds of efforts before throwing money at a nonexistent problem.
