Hi GZ, >>The AD is also negative now.

I have gone back and looked at the bear markets since 1960. The AD being negative seems to be the first indicator I can find that preceded these markets. It seems obvious that a negative AD line is necessary for a bear market, but as far as I can tell this is a consistant early indicator.

BTW, where are you getting your AD data?

Joan

Hi GZ; Speaking of Big Kahunas, did you pick up a copy of the
non-fiction best seller "The Perfect Storm", at Barnes and Noble
recently (I'm short AMZN...). Talk about a long fetch and a high
wind, try the North Atlantic and 120 knots.

The waves that we call panics seem the same way. They
start out as cat's paws, it's only when the fundamental winds
have been blowing a while that they start to make spindrift....

Took profits on my MSFT puts, cause I am just sure that the
dipsters have to be climbing in soon.

GZ,

I got another buy signal on VIX so it is 5% up from here AT LEAST!!! This is the second buy I have gotten recently... and that has happened before. And the market does go up at least 5% after 2 such signals... now I have never had 3 in a row...
