Well said. Scotty Lockhart's demise is the most complicated death I've ever seen. Watching the second season of The Affair felt like a chore. I found myself constantly hitting FF on the remote to get through all the pensive moments of unlikeable characters looking off into space and/or surf for answers. Here's a tip for the characters of The Affair . . . next time you're aimlessly walking down the beaches of Montauk pick up a big shell, put it next to your ear, and listen to the sound of me snoring.
