Could it be that the correction in the SPX equal weighted index is largely due to energy and precious metal stocks?
Could be, but I'm also watching the BKX and NYA.. The Banks have got to rally (according to traditional theory) for the overall market to join along..

But if energy prices remain in the gutter, then the banks have the problem with all that high yield debt, right? I have heard they don't own it personally, but have loaned a ton of money to the Hedge Funds that actually do..

And then there is China.. Since they were the economy using up 30% of the global production of Concrete and many other commodities, then nothing is going to recover until their economy does.. (or other economies pick up the slack in demand)..
