Jim:

>>BAKERSFIELD, Calif., Dec. 24 /PRNewswire/ -- Tri-Valley Corporation (0TC Bulletin Board: TRIL)
today announced that a dry natural gas well now being drilled in Tracy, California, could, if successful,
produce revenues in excess of $600 million and 300 biliion cubic feet of dry natural gas.<<

I think that "if successful" is the key word that makes this release palatable. This is a highly speculative venture and I have bet on TRIL's drilling record of this year. The dollar and BCF estimates are based on geological data that may or may not prove to be correct. My hope is that the numbers are on the conservative side.

Your caution is well received and respected. I wish that I had used more caution on some other investments in the past.

I've put my money on the table and will let the game play out-

Best Regards,

George

I believe that it is indeed possible that our CEO is extremely optimistic about the future of Tri-Valley what with all the company has going for it at this time. With the studies of the fzone, which have been going on for some seven years now, and with the purchase of the data and the concurrence of the best people in the field, this project is now a reality. The reality of the situation is that we have a damned good chance of hitting the biggest gas field ever hit in the State of California. And that is Big! It rivals that which put Occidental Petoleum on the map 30 years ago. In addition, TRIL's other wells are producing nicely and let us not forget about Alaskan gold. With 18.9 or so shares outstanding, this company is surely a winner. It will still be a winner if the fzone, (slap my face), should not be all which we hope it will be. I do not consider the press release to be hype; it reflects the optimism which has been bottled up for far too long.
