Right, carry permits are best used in conjunction with unarmed, old people or animals. Peeping Toms and the neighbors cat are good examples. Never, ever use your gun when there is an armed assailant. You could get hurt or even killed.

Also, never show your piece on a first date...it spooks them away for some reason.

Well, I guess they WILL, at least in Texas.

Apparently, as of January 1st, anybody in Texas with a carry permit will be able to carry their gun OPENLY.

That hasn't been legal in Texas since 1865.

The police seem to be in favor of NOT asking anyone carrying to show their permit because that might lead to accusations of racism or bias of some type.

How many 13 year olds in Texas wanted guns and holsters this year?

It might be interesting the first time 20 black guys walk through a middle class neighborhood carryng their guns...
