Lithium Hydroxide, not as reactive as pure Li, but that said, I wouldn't want to have that stuff in my house at any time. Sorry Taro. It's not all that much worse than lye (sodium hydroxide) or that stuff that they sell for drain opening. A bit less caustic (basic) than lye as well. It ain't gonna explode or catch fire. If it's self contained and fool proof from kids and pets, I don't see why not except perhaps the cost; you need to keep adding more LiOH because it reacts with CO2 to make lithium carbonate - also known as Eskalith. However… So the scrubber does have an issue - Eskalith is the drug commonly known as "Lithium" (not the metal of course) - now you have to dispose of it in a mindful and not maniacal manner or you might contribute to the drug pollution of the water table. Everything has side effects...
