Makin a nice move here, is this for real (short covering, a technical bounce)? Time will tell.

Dave

Off-topic. Swede: I can't agree with you more. I was smart enough to get out from driller sector and took over $50k profit before the end of October, but I was also stupid enough to put all the money in one tech stock after that -- fully margined. My account value went down from around 140k to 70k or so. I already got twice of margin calls and borrowed a lot of money from credit card. I will sell some of it by Friday just to offset the big capital gain tax. This time I really burned badly by using margin.
Happy holidays and good luck.

Hi Swede. Thanks for the input. Looks like we finally got a little bounce today. Maybe it will continue for a while.. I have no choice but to ride out the downturn as I hate to sell at such a big loss now. Most of my margined stuff is esv and the techs so you know I am hurting big time. Down well over 100g off the highs. These companies are not going bust so I would rather pay margin interest than take losses.

Have a great holiday season.
