If the NYT article is accurate a red flag for me would be the terms of management compensation. Are they getting rewarded for safely increasing earnings, growing cash flow, and gradually raising dividends? Or are they getting compensated as a % of total assets under management regardless of the safety and profitability thereof? And if the top guy is making $100M a year (allegedly working out of his home 4 days a week) and he throws a few weeks' compensation to buy some PSEC shares, is he really putting his skin in the game?

Again I don't follow it and I don't mean to dissuade anyone, and it may well do just fine. But it isn't the type of stock I've had success with or want to hold in difficult times.
