Happy new year to you Chinu. Yes whether it's Hillary, or Bernie, or O'Malley, they will have the opportunity to put 2,3,4, people on the Supreme Court and that will change everything. Just look at the five justices the Republicans put on the court. There are worse than terrible, they are right-wing ideologues who pay little attention to the law and no attention if they don't want to e.g. when they stole the 2000 election for Bush. Any one of the Dems, will put good thinkers like Obama on the bench. And we should take the Senate pretty easily I think. But this country is in a lot of trouble because of the rich and powerful, the plutocrats, increasing their power continuously. Even under Obama, pretty much all the gains of the last seven years went to the top 1%. And when it comes to things like laws, imagine the Republican's made it illegal for the CDC to investigate the impact of guns on public health. The Republican's made it illegal for Medicare to negotiate drug prices. The Republican's made it illegal to buy drugs in Canada. If one examines the Republican Party closely, from a social science point of view they can see that they haven't just been derelict, they have actively been engaging in destroying our society and our social systems e.g. their war against Obamacare. Good Lord, that is nothing more than a health program and they act like it's Satan.
