Make Hayes, Not Love Hayes shr holders OK merger with Access Wednesday December 24 11:08am ATLANTA, Dec 24 (Reuters) - Hayes Microcomputer Products Inc Wednesday said its shareholders gave it unanimous approval to proceed with a planned merger with Access Beyond Inc. The combined company would be called Hayes Corp and is expected to trade on NASDAQ under the symbol HAYZ. Access shareholders are scheduled to meet Dec. 29, Hayes said. Among other things, Hayes makes analog modems and Access makes remote access servers, a release said.
