Glad to see you know "Ohms Law" ... but how you are utilizing it is not
quite right. You are making the assumption that as one increases the
voltage, the current does not also increase (thus they are independent).
In this case (with a FET or CPU) as one increase the voltage, the current
will also increase and thus the power is not "linear" with increased
voltage. Just think about applying twice the voltage to a resistor ... the
current will also increase by 2X and thus the power increases by 4X ... not 2X.
