They don't need to. With the Republicans actively hostile to anyone who isn't white, male and elderly, no race card is needed.

They don't have many cards in their deck, they have to bitterly cling to what they have.

In the liberal imagination, red state America is a seething mass of Ku Klux Klansmen. Thousands of KKK lynch mobbers march down the streets of Anytown, America seeking poor blacks and Muslims to kill. But how come I've lived my entire life in redstate America - four different states ... yet I've never seen a single KKK member in real life. Not just one in their sheets, but not even a single person who admits to ever being in it? How come there are no current pictures from the last two decades of more than a half dozen KKK members in a group?

Shep has seen them ... knows at least one .. but that is certainly because of his unusual admitted racist and anti-Semitic family background. CJ the Weiner Boy says he's seen one or more but he sought them out .... went to a meetin, he claims, out of "curiousity."
