So how was the roast?

BTW........I found the recipe so I edited my post. We bot this prime rib (6 lbs) two weeks ago at $5.79 lb and we both like PR a lot. Does take a sharp knife for carving though. We're going to have au gratin potatoes AND Yorkshire pudding with it. We've been very bad...............have really eaten like pigs this holiday season. What the hey.............you only live once.

Reporting back on the roast we did last night.

OMG this was by far the best Prime Rib roast I have ever cooked.............just AWESOME. It was medium rare all the way through and the au jus was just delicious. I would imagine it would work well on any type of beef roast, so from now on this is the only method we'll use for cooking roasts.
