During the run for presidency in 2008.. There were known attacks on the financial system from within and outside. Then the clincher was when a HOUSE that was controlled by the dems and led by Pelosi DECIDED to VOTE NO for the T.A.R.P on the first vote.. The strategy was to not have a rally going into November... Get MR O elected and then bring in Geithner aka THE THUNDER to fix it.

Unfortunately many of those who voted NO didn't grasp what would happen.. A look at the spx from that time frame to April 2009 shows what took place and as this happened MANY bought off the lows to do very well... So to those who state MR O POTUS benefited the markets.

It would be like me intentionally causing a problem and then coming to the rescue to fix it.

ONE day.. someone will write an accurate account of what took place during that time. OH wait.. someone did.. DEEP CAPTURE is well documented.

I was talking about the indexes...sure some got wiped out...mostly those SHORT the market. :-)

We have the strongest economy in the world right now...that's the mess you complain about??

The food stamp problem is a result of GOP backed legislation destroying wages and benefits for the middle class...objection to raising min wages....supporting our now largest employer (WALMART) whose employees qualify for stamps...and the war on unions...all of which most here undoubtedly support. So the GOP has shifted the responsibility of paying a living wage away from corp America and on to the taxpayers....via food stamps...sec 8..etc. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
