I was talking federal level...but anyhow on that state (California) level what is the problem with this "A new California law takes effect January 1 that allows legally-owned guns to be confiscated if family or friends believe the owner is a threat to themselves or others." We take driving privileges away from those who are dangerous....a gun is even more logical...owning a gun should be a earned and deserved privilege...not an automatic right
