You know Orckit and Ascend and 3COM and Ariel
Aware and PairGain and NetSpeed and Alcatel

But do you recall the most storied vendor of all . . .

Westell the DSL vendor has a very pretty sheet
and if you ever saw it, you would say "where's Wall Street?"

All of the other vendors always posture and do PR
They never let investors know how really lame they are

Then one groggy Wall Street day TI came to say
Westell with your ship so tight won't you help our bandwidth fight

Then all the investors stood watch, as they shouted hopefully,
"Westell the storied vendor, show me the money"

Bill,

I believe "We make money the old fashion way....", was or is
the slogan for Smith Barney. Although I do like the brokerage's
firms attempts to have this settlement announced on a really
slow news day for PR reasons.
