The Department of Transportation is the only U.S. Government agency that
has no CIO (Chief Information Officer).

The DoT has refused to give interviews on y2k. This, according to USA
TODAY.

The FAA is part of the DoT.

Will you schedule a flight for December 31, 1999?

Transportation has upgraded just 7% of its critical systems, and is the only
major federal agency that doesn't have a chief information officer overseeing
Y2K issues.

Transportation officials declined repeated requests for interviews.
