My last post here was in 2016 when the shares traded at $1.86... they peaked at $6.50 in 2017... now back down at $2.40.

The Lucky Friday hasn't produced anything since 2017 with the United Steel Workers on strike since then, and without a contract since 2016... but HL's is doing well enough without it at Green's Creek in Alaska, and other sites.

I wouldn't be surprised to see them decide to shut down the Lucky Friday.

If they really want to continue mining in Idaho they can probably buy another operating mine in the region for a lot less than it will cost them to operate the Lucky Friday in the long term... on the terms the union wants.

Otherwise, it would make more sense to automate Lucky Friday sooner than it would many other mines, given the depth of the workings, and the recent history of problems and issues apparent with the rock at depth.

Recent price action does seem a bit odd, to me... perhaps indicating "something in the works" with the labor situation ? Or, maybe its just stupid banker tricks and HFT, also consistent with the pattern ?
