Trump to Hillary: If guns don't keep you safe, then disarm your bodyguards

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump challenged Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton to travel without armed bodyguards to prove that guns don't keep people safe.

"Hillary said that guns don't keep you safe. If she really believes that she should demand that her heavily armed bodyguards quickly disarm!" Trump said Sunday in a Twitter post.

Betty, regarding the Trump article I posted, you are correct. Here is what my source found out when I queried him:

Those are pretty much Trump's positions, but I found out

that the article was from around August 4 and was probably incorrectly attributed to Peggy Noonan.

However, you can check his positions on his official website

www.donaldjtrump.com/positions. He also said a lot of this in his new book,

Crippled America.

See below on my paper trail on the mis-attribution to Peggy Noonan.

Subject: Trump--Things You Might Not Know about Him, undetermined author.

Susan,

Below is the first occurrence of Trump--Things You Might Not Know about Him.

it appears on the OBQI (Oil Sands Investing) Message Board on InvestorVilllage.com on August 4, 2015, and it is not attributed to Peggy Noonan or the Wall Street Journal.

It appears on whitespringsnews.com Edited by attorney, Joe Griffin, on August 28 but does not have an attribution to another author.

It also appears twice in September (10 and 15th) attributed to C. Jackson, who is evidently a highly credentialed security analyst.

It is possible that the August 4 and 28 and the September 10 and 15 appearances may have been a trial test for the Trump website versions or future condensed versions. Trump had already mentioned most or all of the points by early August.

On December 14, it was forwarded on the Old Dog Blog ( anationbeguiled.com) and just below the photo of Trump was the name of Peggy Noonan. The bloggers introduction to the article implies that the article was by Peggy Noonan, but that may have been a misinterpretation by Old Dog, anationbeguiled.com. Old Dog has a fairly large blog and lives near Hendersonville.

Although Peggy Noonan does write a lot about Trump in the WSJ, and it is usually favorable, it looks like this came from another source and was mistakenly attributed to her. The WSJ Editorial Board I am sure would publish whatever Peggy Noonan wanted, but they are FYI strictly Open-Border Establishment GOP, although they sometimes allow a conservative article on immigration to keep somewhat of a balance.

The content of the article seems to be a rough condensation of what is now on the official donaldjtrump.com/positions official campaign website, although the website has probably since been expanded on some points. The three sections I have read jon the website, BTW are excellent and well written, in my opinion. The Immigration section is much more detailed than the blog, and I know was essentially the work of the Center for Immigration Studies and Senator Jeff Sessions/ and staff. From my research, I am also making an educated guess that the first publishing of this article was roughly at the same time or slightly before the first or August 4, 2015 blog on InvestorVillage.com, and possibly written by a security analyst or large investor.

I will get back to you soon, depending on new information from SH or Old Dog.
